Apple has continued its promotion of the new F1: The Movie film ahead of its release at the box office on June 27. It won’t stream on Apple TV+ until later this year, but Apple Vision Pro owners can get a feel for what they can expect via a new immersive experience.
As spotted by Sigmund Judge on Threads and reported by 9to5Mac, Apple has released a new experience in which Brad Pitt is placed in the racing seat during a test drive around a track.
The content, like other immersive experiences, is filmed in 8K and has a 180-degree field of view, so it looks great on the Apple Vision Pro.
The immersive content that Apple has released to date has been one of the best experiences for Apple Vision Pro owners so far, and it’s clear that the company intends to use that to its advantage. By advertising its own movies it can get content in front of more people, although the number of Apple Vision Pro owners is much lower than those who own iPhones.
This latest release follows the debut of Apple’s first full-length immersive film, Bono: Stories of Surrender, just last month.
F1: The Movie stars Brad Pitt and others, including real F1 stars, as they race around tracks from around the world. Real race days were used for filming to ensure an authentic experience, too.
